An Interview with Teddy

Tell Me...

Today I am here with none other than the canine himself, Teddy. You may know him by the Hubs he publishes "Teddy's Tidbits." And although he provides these informative Hubs, we wanted to get a true in-depth look at the pup behind the computer.

So grab your favorite beverage, sit back and relax while we visit with the canine author himself.

It Was a Cold and Stormy Night....

Teddy: oops, sorry. I was just reading one of my favorite authors. You may know him, Snoopy. I tell you that guy is pure genius.

HT: No problem. Yes, he is pretty clever, for sure, but so are you. So, tell us, your readers, about Teddy.

Teddy: Wow, thanks for the compliment! Ok. Hhhmmm, well my life started out pretty much like your ordinary pup, or at least from what I remember.

I spent the first four years of my life with this elderly lady. Man, that seems like a different lifetime ago. Anyway, for whatever reason she ended up moving and I couldn't go. Instead I ended up at this place with all these other pups.

Talk about confusing. And to top it off, as soon as I got there, I ended up with all these people fussing over me for over an hour, brushing and combing and brushing and combing and on and on. After a while, enough is enough. Yep, that's me after they spent all that time with me.

So for the next two weeks I lived with all these other dogs. We would all watch as people came and went. Sometimes they would take one of us out of our little rooms and play with us, while others would leave and never been seen or heard from again.

It wasn't the worst place, but it certainly wasn't five-stars either.

HT: So did you make any friends while you were there?

Teddy: That was pretty hard to do as we each had our own little area so we really couldn't play. Now some of the little guys got to share a room, but as for me, I was in my own space. Yep, that photo is a good pic of my space.

Finally, I found the right humans and I've been with them since.

HT: So how long has that been?

Teddy: Going on four years in March. Just as I thought being at that pup hotel would never end, it's amazing to think its been that long ago now.

HT: So how about telling us what got you started writing?

Teddy: I think you'd be surprised at how many of us really have literary aspirations. It's just finding the right outlet to use. I started with a blog, but then found HubPages and things just took off from there.

Between all the different social media, it can drive a dog to chase their tail just connecting and staying connected. But if you've got a good story or informational piece that can be useful to others, I believe people will find you.

HT: So are you continuing with the Hub articles?

Teddy: Right now I'm looking at spending some time sharing some of my life experiences. If something comes up that people should be aware of, then I'll do an info Hub.

And actually today I read that theft of dogs is on the rise. They are being taken from homes, cars, while on walks and even from shelters or adoption events - can you believe stealing a dog from an adoption fair? What gives? Good reason to make sure that you microchip your pet!

Anyway, hopefully other canines' humans will find humor, or remind them of their own experience, as to the adventures I've encountered so far.

HT: Sounds like a good plan to me. Any last comments to our readers?

Teddy: Thanks to all who have read Teddy's Tidbits and left awesome comments and words of encouragement. And, I look forward to you joining me in my latest endeavor.

I am looking forward to checking out your low carb hubs (since this is my gauge to maintain my blood sugar) - the heavens bring together good friends at just the right time! Looking forward to following you, as well - have a great weekend. Hazel & Teddy

Hi ThoughtSandwiches -

Your compliment means a lot, as you are a master of wit with your style! Have a great evening.

Hi Sharyn -

Sssshhhh - trying to stay below the radar or the next thing you know I'll be "hounded" (LOL) for more interviews. But seriously, thank you for such a nice compliment.

That is one clever dog! And a cute one too.

It's very nice to have a personal dog history, especially since Teddy has written so many hubs.

Now, I wonder if we could train our cats to write?

Hi 2patricias -

Thank you! He really is something. I'm sure there may be a literary feline out there. Mine on the other hand are more into demanding attention alternating with sleeping alternating with playing.

Thanks again for checking out his interview.

Hazel
